I had a hard time doing this because I difficulty with backgrounds until I saw this . I had a similar idea with the background.

Now you've sparked my interest. I don't suppose you could provide a link to said story, could you? I did a search, but there's oodles of places to find MLP fan material, and apparently oodles of stories all with the title "Growing Pains," none of which that I found matched your description.

Keep in mind that you'll probably want to grab a snack like popcorn or something: it's long (and not finished yet) and the magic-a-la Rainbow Dash is quite a ways in. Very wild concept here and I know that the vernacular is not 100% pony, but it is a good read.
